Updates include Crystal Project Icons (Everaldo, LGPL) and for the Mac Edition also enabled Apple's 'Brushed Metal' Theme.

Download and install using the Cross-Platform Installer

Note: If you are using the Cross-Platform Installer on Mac OS X, after finishing the installer, there may be a dialog box that suggests that Jar Launcher was unable to launch QuillPadInstaller (even though you've just successfully launched, used and finished using it). Just click the OK button to close that dialog - you have successfully installed QuillPad by that time.
You will need Java 2 Standard Edition 1.4.0 or higher compatable runtime to use the installer and QuilPad itself.

Alternativly you can download QuillPad (Cross-Platform Edition) from these FreewareFiles.com mirrors:

On MS Windows and Apple Mac OS X double click (or select and click) the QuillPadInstaller.jar or
in Command Prompt (Windows), Terminal (Mac OS X) or a console window, go to the folder where QuillPadInstaller.jar is and type the following and press enter:
  java -jar QuillPadInstaller.jar
and then select the language you want and follow the instructions to install QuillPad to a folder on your disk.
You will need to change the language of QuillPad if it is not in your written language by going to File->Preferences and use the drop-down or popup menu that says British English and choose any of the other languages (written in the appropriete language) and then activate the OK button, close QuillPad and then open QuillPad and it will be in that language.

Download and install using the Apple Disk Image

For those of you using Apple Mac OS X.4 Tiger or above, there is a Disk Image that will install the Mac OS X edition of QuillPad.
For this Disk Image you just need Apple Mac OS X.

Alternativly you can download QuillPad (Mac OS X Edition) from these FreewareFiles.com mirrors:

On Apple Mac OS X double click QuillPad.dmg. The volume will appear on the desktop and a finder folder will open. Drag and drop the QuillPad folder to the Applications folder (or any other folder).
To add QuillPad to the Dock you can drag the QuillPad or QuillPad.app program to the Dock or if QuillPad is open then bring up the contextual menu and click 'Keep In Dock'.
You will need to change the language of QuillPad if it is not in your written language by going to File->Preferences and use the drop-down or popup menu that says British English and choose any of the other languages (written in the appropriete language) and then activate the OK button, close QuillPad and then open QuillPad and it will be in that language.

Download and install using the Microsoft Windows Installer

For those of you using Microsoft Windows there is a Windows Installer that will not only install all of QuillPad but also install a desktop shortcut and a Start menu shortcut. Plus an entry in the 'Add or Remove Programs' will be added to help uninstall QuillPad and its shortcuts.
For this installer you just need Microsoft Widnows 98 or higher (including Windows Vista).

Alternativly you can download QuillPad (Cross-Platform in Windows Installer) from these FreewareFiles.com mirrors:

If you currently have QuillPad 6.1.1.1 installed using the old Windows Installer Package (.msi) then you will need to uninstall QuillPad as the entry in the 'Add and Remove Programs' will not be replaced by the new installer as they handle the entry differently.

On Microsoft Windows double click (or select and click) QuillPadInstaller or QuillPadInstaller.exe and then select the language you want and follow the instructions to install QuillPad to a folder on your disk.
You will need to change the language of QuillPad if it is not in your written language by going to File->Preferences and use the drop-down or popup menu that says British English and choose any of the other languages (written in the appropriete language) and then activate the OK button, close QuillPad and then open QuillPad and it will be in that language.

Run QuillPad

On MS Windows and Apple Mac OS X you can double click (or select and click) the QuillPad.jar file to run QuillPad.
Otherwise in Command Prompt (Windows), Terminal (Mac OS X) or a console window, go to the folder where QuillPad.jar is and type the following and press enter:
  java -jar QuillPad.jar
or
  java -jar QuillPad.jar -local
for local preferences.
 You can also type:
  java -jar QuillPad.jar -help
to see a list of command line options (only in English).

If you installed the Mac OS X edition of QuillPad from the Disk Image then you can double click QuillPad or QuillPad.app in its folder or click on QuillPad in the Dock if you added it there to run QuillPad.

If you installed QuillPad using a Windows Installer then desktop and menu shortcuts would have been created. You can double click or select and click the desktop shortcut.
To use the menu shortcut go to Start->Programs->QuillPad or if you are running Windows XP or higher and using the Modern Windows look then go to Start->All Programs->QuillPad.

Uninstall QuillPad

If you installed QuillPad using the Windows Installer then you can go to the 'Add/Remove Programs' (or 'Applications and Features' in Windows Vista) in the Control Panel. Select the QuillPad entry and activate the Remove button. An uninstaller will remove QuillPad and its desktop and Start menu shortcuts.

If you installed QuillPad from the cross-platform installer or from the Apple Disk Image then you can just delete the QuillPad folder and it would be uninstalled.
