To extract the article collection from the 7z File, if you are using:

  • Apple Mac OS X.4 Tiger or higher: Download and install 7zX for Mac OS X. Then just drag and drop the .7z file onto 7zX and it will extract all the articles into the current folder where the .7z file is.
  • Microsoft Windows 98 or higher (including Windows 7): Download and install 7-zip for Windows. Then just double click the .7z file, click extract, choose where to put them and press OK and 7-zip will extract all the articles.
  • Linux or Unix: Download (, maybe compile) and install p7zip. Then type 7za x and the name of the .7z file and p7zip will extract the articles into the current folder.

To extract the article collection from the ZIP File, if you are using:

  • Microsoft Windows 98 with Plus98, Windows ME or Windows XP or higher: Double click or select and click the .zip file and click Extract and follow the Wizard's instructions.
  • Linux or Unix: There are about five billion ways you can extract files from the .zip file, most notably using either KDE's Ark, Gnome's GCompress or the unzip command line utility.
  • Otherwise you will need to download either an unzip program or a full zip/unzip program for your platform. Here is a starting point for zip compression programs from Google Search.
